April Clobes, President and Chief Executive Officer, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union

April Clobes serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Michigan State University FCU in East Lansing, MI. Clobes brings nearly 30 years of industry experience having served in a variety of roles at the credit union, including Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Marketing and E-Commerce.

Clobes is an active leader in the credit union movement and in her community alike. Currently, she serves on several industry boards including Members Development Company (Secretary/Treasurer), Trellance (Secretary/Treasurer), Filene Research Institute (Vice Chair) and CUDX CUSO (Chair).  Previously, Clobes has also served on the Michigan Credit Union League CU Difference Committee, the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Executive Council and the Michigan Credit Union Foundation.

Clobes has also been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Michigan State University Distinguished Alumni Award (2021) and the Detroit Free Press Leadership Award (2016).

She holds her Bachelor of Arts in marketing and Master of Arts in advertising from Michigan State University, as well as her Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
