Gregory Perry
Institutional Fixed Income Sales Representative, Alloya Investment Services
Gregg has been in the financial solutions arena for more than 30 years, including joining Alloya Investment Services in 2005. As an Institutional Fixed Income Sales Representative he collaborates directly with CEOs and CFOs to expand their available investment options and realize their balance sheet strategies. From fixed income investment options – including marketable securities – to brokered certificates, Gregg offers access to a wealth of resources. Credit union decision-makers regularly use his services, not only for their investment portfolio needs, but also to strengthen their overall balance sheet.
Prior to this, Gregg was an investment consultant in Empire Corporate FCU’s Investment Center, as well as a Senior Securities Consultant with MemberTrade Financial Group, LLC. Previously, Gregg worked for a major commercial bank, as well as a large investment-planning firm.
Gregg holds his M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and his bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Michigan. In addition, he has taught classes as an adjunct professor at Russell Sage College. Gregg holds his Series 7 and 63 through ISI and his Series 65 through Alloya Investment Services.
Bill Paton
Vice President, Capital Markets Sales Director, Alloya Corporate FCU
As Alloya’s Vice President, Capital Markets Sales Director, Bill Paton oversees the corporate’s capital markets products, programs and sales teams, including loan participations, subordinated debt, marketable securities, certificates of deposits and more, to support the liquidity, investment and capital needs of every credit union.
Joining the corporate in 2007 as a loan analyst, Bill later advanced to lending management roles before founding Alloya’s Loan Participation Program in 2015 and the online Loan Participation Platform in 2020. Bill’s passion for helping credit unions with the purchase and sale of loan pools led him to the world of capital markets today, where he works closely with credit unions to manage both sides of the balance sheet.
In his spare time, Bill volunteers with his church and his kids’ extracurricular activities, including coaching numerous sports teams.
Bill holds a B.A. in economics from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.
John Almeida, CFA
Institutional Fixed Income Sales Representative, Alloya Investment Services
With more than 20 years of experience as a top producer in the field of credit union investments, John’s focus since 2004 has been providing value-added advice, service and products exclusively to credit unions. As an Institutional Fixed Income Sales Representative, he collaborates directly with CEOs and CFOs to identify, recommend and implement client-based, risk-appropriate portfolio strategies and securities.
Prior to joining Alloya Investment Services, John served as Senior Investment Representative at Credit Union Brokerage Services. He began his career as a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial Services, Inc. in Boston.
John holds a B.A. from the University of Vermont and an M.B.A. from Boston College. He is a CFA charter holder and member of The Boston Security Analysts Society, Inc. and the CFA Institute. John holds his Series 7 and 66 through ISI.
Tim Bruculere
Senior Vice President, Membership, Alloya Corporate FCU
As Senior Vice President, Membership, Tim Bruculere is responsible for leading Alloya’s member services and relations, marketing and communications, and consulting teams ensuring the financial goals; the establishment/retention of member relationships; and the advancement of a positive marketplace brand image for the corporate.
Bruculere brings more than 35 years of financial institution experience to Alloya, which includes relationship and cash management, capital markets, and corporate, commercial real estate and consumer lending.
Bruculere is current Chair of the New York Credit Union Foundation, member of America’s Credit Unions Business Advocate Advisory Committee and past Chair of the University at Albany School of Business Advisory Council, past Secretary and board member of the New York State Trooper Foundation, past Treasurer and board member of the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York, and formerly served on the Investment Committee of Statewide Zone Capital Corp.
Bruculere holds his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY.
Caroline Vahrenkamp
Director, Advisory Services, Filene Research Institute
Caroline brings over 20 years of experience in and around credit unions to Filene. With her extensive experience in finance, marketing, and product development, Caroline finds trends and patterns in consumer behavior that will lead to the development of new products and services to transform the credit union industry. She works to help credit unions reestablish their identity to remain relevant, competitive, and provide the right solutions.
Prior to her work with Filene, Caroline was at Raddon where she was responsible for Raddon Research Insights, the Raddon national consumer research program, and authored more than 20 research studies. Past roles include CFO at Clackamas Federal Credit Union and SVP of Marketing and Member Experience at Elements Financial. Caroline earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her MBA from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business.
Jeff Paille, CPA
Partner, Bonadio
Jeff is a Partner in Bonadio’s Financial Services Team and works extensively with credit unions. His 30+ years of experience includes conducting financial statement audits of credit unions and consulting with credit unions on various matters, including strategic planning, board and supervisory committee educational sessions, merger due diligence and accounting, and many others.
Jeff’s experience includes serving as Accounting Manager at ESL Federal Credit Union in Rochester, NY, from September 2001 through March 2006. In this capacity, Jeff was responsible for many aspects of accounting for ESL. Jeff also gained an in-depth understanding of credit union operations and was involved in projects to enhance operating effectiveness and efficiency. Jeff rejoined Bonadio in April 2006 with a focus on serving credit union clients.
