Congratulations, Finn Foundation Incorporated
and Michigan Educational CU!
Alloya is pleased to donate $10,000 to Finn Foundation Incorporated (Finn Foundation) in the name of Michigan Educational Credit Union (MECU) as part of our 10 for 10 for 10 program.
The seventh of 10 worthy winners, Finn Foundation aims to support traumatic brain injury survivors through donations, education and connection among the traumatic brain injury community. The foundation was formed by the family of Kevin Finneran, the chief financial officer of MECU, after his son Ryan was involved in a serious auto accident during his senior year of high school that resulted in a traumatic brain injury.
“We lived firsthand what is involved with these types of injuries and are fortunate that our son mostly recovered. Without the support of our community, we don't believe that the results would have been as positive,” Finneran remarked. “Therefore, we started this foundation to give back to families facing similar crises and people in the community.” Each year, the foundation donates money in the form of a scholarship to a high school student that has overcome adversity so they can further their education. Finn Foundation also works with Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where Ryan started his comeback.
MECU ($1B assets) proudly serves over 50,000 members who reside, work or worship in Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Jackson counties in Michigan.
Congratulations MECU and Finn Foundation for being the seventh winner of our 10 for 10 for 10 charitable donation program!
